Growing Together

We do not know very much about what Jesus was like as a child, but what we do know speaks volumes to us. We know that "Jesus grew in wisdom and stature and in favor with God and men." Luke 2:52. Kingdom Kids grow together in wisdom, stature and in favor with God and men.

Growing in Wisdom

Kingdom Kids and New Day are committed to providing your children with the best curriculum that we can find for Sunday School, VBS, and our Baptism preparations class, Soteria. For more information on our Sunday School classes, see Sunday School site.

Growing in Stature

New Day families and Kingdom Kids join together to provide healthy and safe activities and resources.

Heather Howell, a Juice Plus+ Representative, provides our families with information, statistics, and workshops to help families make healthy food choices.
Parent's Night Out, a monthly activity night, provides families with a safe environment to leave children for a few hours to get some much needed alone time with spouses.

Growing in Favor with God

New Day's Kingdom Kids are committed to taking our children from "knowledge" based faith ("I know what my parents have told me about Jesus") to an authentic "faith" based relationship where they are accountable to one another and to the Lord.

Soteria Class-Soteria is Greek for "Salvation" and thus is the name of our 5th Grade Sunday School class that will begin the Fall of 2010. Our 2009 pilot class saw 8 of our children baptized. We are currently looking at stretching the curriculum from 8 intensive weeks to 9 months to insure that our 5th grade boys and girls really understand the material. This class focuses on Scriptural memorization, in-depth study of the life and death of Christ and our relationship to the Father in light of what Christ did for us at Calvary. We finish the 9 month course with a baptismal Sunday to invite any students to take this next step.
Children's Worship-Each Sunday our children (ages Pre-K through 5th Grade)participate in worship that is age appropriate, fun, and meaningful. We believe that the heart of God is blessed by children's worship and it can be fun, silly, and also sweet.

Growing in Favor with Men.

In a time where children look so closely at Hollywood and professional sports for role models and idols, we want to offer children an alternative to seeking out ungodly role models and becoming godly role models for others.

Community Outreach-Providing opportunities for our children to get involved in outreach programs like Operation Christmas Child, Harvesters, and other non for profit organizations that reach children in our community as well as globally.
Leadership Development-New Day is committed to training our children to take on leadership positions at church and in their schools
Outreach Events-Kingdom Kids get involved in our annual Christmas production and Vacation Bible School, two activities that are centered around bringing friends and family members that do not know the Lord to church.

Getting involved with Kingdom Kids

Kingdom Kids is run by an extraordinary team of volunteers from the New Day body. We would love for you to join in this precious ministry. There are a variety of ways to serve. We are currently in need of the following:

Worship Leaders for Pre-K and Kindergarten-No musical talent necessary, just a love for children and a knack for getting children moving' and grooving'
Worship Leaders for 1st-5th Grade-Musical talent optional. For those that do not play instruments we have Music DVD's and CD's that our children can worship to.
Sunday School Teachers-We are still in need of 4 or 5 teachers or assistant teachers each month.
